The bell rang and the class was over. Many classmates jumped up from the seat. The classroom became noisy. Some students went out of the classroom while talking and laughing. Two girls were singing a song on their seats. Some boys were telling a joke loudly. They were laughing together. I was chatting with some classmates when Li Hong came to me. She joined us. Our class break was often full of fun and laughter. We often have a pleasant break.

The bell rang, signaling the end of another class. Immediately, the classroom burst into life as students eagerly rushed out for their much-awaited break time.
Laughter and chatter filled the air as my classmates scattered in different directions. A group of boys dashed to the basketball court, dribbling and shooting with excitement. Meanwhile, some girls gathered under the big banyan tree, playing hopscotch or skipping rope. Their joyful cheers echoed across the playground.
I joined my best friends near the school garden, where we shared snacks and funny stories. The warm sunshine made everything feel even more delightful. Some students sat on benches, reading books or finishing homework, while others simply strolled around, enjoying the fresh air.
Teachers also took this time to relax, sipping tea and smiling at our energetic games. Occasionally, they would even join in, making the break time even more fun.
All too soon, the bell rang again, calling us back to class. Though short, the break was a refreshing pause that recharged us for the next lesson. Those ten minutes of freedom and laughter were truly the happiest part of the school day!

Weve developed an unspoken rule: whoever brings extra treats gets to choose the afternoon recess game. Todays prize is a bag of Swiss chocolate, so the competition for the most creative snack is fierce.
Silent Observers
Not all adventures are loud. In the reading corner, Emma and I silently build a domino tower with textbooks, holding our breath as it grows taller than a ruler. The moment it collapses, we burst into giggles that attract others to join our "construction team." Meanwhile, by the window, two boys carefully free a trapped ladybug, their faces serious as surgeons performing a rescue mission.
When the bell rings again, we return to our seats with grass stains on uniforms, pockets full of acorn treasures, and new inside jokes scribbled on sticky notes. These ten-minute fragments may seem insignificant, but theyre where we learn negotiation through jump rope turns, physics via paper airplane trials, and empathy when sharing erasers. The classroom clocks shortest intervals hold our longest memories.
