Dear teachers and fellow students,
Good morning! It’s my great honor to give the speech here.
The Week of Psychological Education has just gone. We joyfully see the English festival begin. Its purpose is to enliven the campus atmosphere, to
enrich students’ spare time life, to arouse students’ interests, and to improve
students’ oral English, overall quality.
Now I declare 2009 English Festival is now open.
Nowadays we are living in an open society with globalized economy and cultures. China opens to the world and the world welcomes China. Thus a
harmonious globe will come into being. Love and enjoy this world, create
harmonious classes, schools and communities. So just like “Better City ,
Better Life”for Shanghai Expo, “Better English , Better Life”,is the theme
for our English festival.
The English Festival begins on Dec 21st. And it will last 7 days. During the period, we will hold many meaningful activities, such as English singing contest, English speech contest, English Conversation contest and so on. In
this week I hope every student will take an active part in the activities and
contests mentioned above, display your own talents, and meanwhile, learn
something from others.
Finally, I wish you will enjoy yourselves during the festival. I also
congratulate beforehand our English festival on complete success.

親愛的老師們，同學(xué)們，大家早上好。非常榮幸能在這里為大家演講。
心理活動周剛剛過去。我們又將高興地迎來英語節(jié)的開幕。本次英語節(jié)的'目的是為了活躍校園氣氛，豐富同學(xué)的課余生活，激發(fā)大家的學(xué)習(xí)興趣，提高同學(xué)們的英語口語能力和綜合能力。
現(xiàn)在我宣布，20××年英語節(jié)開幕。
當(dāng)前，我們生活在一個全球化經(jīng)濟(jì)和文化背景下的開放型社會。中國向世界打開了大門，世界也張開雙臂歡迎中國。一個和諧的世界正在形成。讓我們用心熱愛世界，創(chuàng)建和諧的班級、校園和社區(qū)。就像上海世博會的口號“城市讓生活更美好”那樣，我們英語節(jié)的主題是“英語讓生活更美好”。
本次英語節(jié)從12月21日開幕，將持續(xù)一周時間。在此期間，我們將舉辦許多有意義的活動，比如英語歌唱、英語演講，英語會話等等比賽。我希望每一個同學(xué)在這個星期里都能積極參與上述各項活動和競賽，展現(xiàn)個人才華，同時，也向他人學(xué)習(xí)。
最后，祝愿同學(xué)們在英語節(jié)中快樂開心。我也預(yù)祝英語節(jié)取得圓滿成功。
